Chatham Academy Info (8U-10U)

Program Objective:
To provide an environment for players 7-10 years old (born between 1/1/2010-12/31/2013) who have demonstrated the ability and desire to compete at a higher level of soccer. The Youth Development Academy will focus on the development of individual technical skills and enhance the understanding of small group tactics. The environment that is created will also foster player growth in areas of balance, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Program Structure:
Each YDA team will have a dedicated staff coach who will work with the program's technical director. In season, one practice each week will focus primarily on technical skills and the second practice will primarily focus on small sided and team concepts.

Trainin will be held on Tuesday and Thursdays at designated sites in Chatham
One session will occur in North Chatham and the other session will occur in South Chatham
Most games will occur on Sunday afternoons with a few games also played on Saturdays. Home games will be played in Chatham. Teams will compete within the Triangle Premier League against other Triangle-area clubs. Play days will be arranged with other clubs on a home/away agreement and each season teams will play in a doubleheader festival.

Club fees:
Total club fees for the 2019/20 soccer year will be $590 ($290 registration, $150 August 1st, and $150 December 1st)
